Enrichment We provide excellent opportunities for our learners both within and outside of the curriculum Our enrichment opportunities ensure that learners can build resilience independence and develop their cultural capital Our aim is for every student to take part in some form of enrichment during their time at The James Hornsby School Through these enrichment activities we want our students to to broaden their experiences to to learn and grow as people and to enjoy new activities they might not have had the the opportunity to try Students learn to work as a a a a team develop existing interests and skills even further In year 7 students have the opportunity to access free peripatetic lessons and year 9 students are able to access the Duke of Edinburgh award We have opportunities for learners such as STEM Brilliant Club MyTutor Jack Petchey Speak Out and Children’s University Pupils are invited to a a host of enrichment clubs and activities across the school day Our website is regularly updated with new clubs and opportunities such as: • Live Poets’ Society • Debate Club • STEM • Einstein’s Science Club • Rock School • ECO club • Art Therapy and many many many many more!
