Wednesday 12 November 2025 Movember 2025 Movember is here again! The staff in these pictures are growing a Mo to support men's mental health and start conversations about getting boys and men talking to each other! This month remember to talk about how we feel - it is a sign of strength, not weakness and remember; it's OK for me not to be OK.What can you do?If you can, grow a Mo!If you can't – talk to a mate, ask them how they are and really mean it! Every conversation matters and can make a difference.Encourage others to talk.Support the staff by congratulating them on their Mos!Come and watch the staff vs student basketball game on 21st November!Donate to Movember or see Mr Parsad to buy a Movember badge and show you care!Too many men are isolated, too many men are alone and too many men are scared to talk! Let's be the change in the world that we want to see and support each other!#Movember #MensHealthMatters #TimeForMenToTalk #JamesHornsby #JamesHornsbyFamily #TogetherWeExcel #Laindon #Zenith

Monday 20 October 2025 Good attendance reminder! Every day in school makes a real differenceStudents who attend regularly do better. Even afew days absence can add up and impact achievement. The DfE say attendance above 95% means students are 30% more likely to meet or exceed expected targets.Missing school can have unintended consequences when students miss school, they fall behind, they often find it harder to re-engage. The DfE says persistent absence is anyone missing school for 10% or more of their learning. Schools are required to address low attendance and parents should check the schools policy for attendance.Attendance and parental responsibilityParents are legally responsible for ensuring their child is in full-time education. Ofsted and the DfE expect schools to take attendance seriously.Parents should be aware of the number of absences as they can add up and have an impact on learning and opportunities.Woody Allen once said “90% of success is turning up”#JamesHornsby #JamesHorsbySchool #Laindon #Zenith
