Appeals Timetable
For children starting Secondary School in September 2026:
| Date | What Happens |
| 2 March 2026 | National Offer Day - parents informed of outcome of application |
| 13 April 2026 | Deadline for submitting appeals |
| Up to 16 June 2026 | Appeals heard for those submitted by the deadline |
| Up to 20 July 2026 | Appeals heard where possible, for late appeals |
| September 2026 onwards | Appeals heard for any appeals not heard before 20 July 2026 |

Mid-Year Admissions
If you have made a mid-year application for your child and have received notification that we cannot offer your child a place, you have the right to appeal this decision. Should you wish to appeal, please visit Essex County Council's Appeals Website.
