Brilliant club Graduation trip to Cambridge

The Scholars programme together with the James Hornsby school gave us the opportunity to experience a day at Peterhouse College within Cambridge University. It was our graduation ceremony for the work done on the Scholars programme/Brilliant club.

In the morning we had a great IAG session with University staff looking at the different ways in which we could get into a World leading university such as Cambridge. We now know that its within our reach if we apply ourselves in school.

We also had a tour of the College, taking in areas such as the gym, bar, common room, library and Chapel. It showed us that University students had more going on in their lives other than their studies! The atmosphere was very friendly and warm. The architecture and surroundings were truly inspirational.

We were then taken to the magnificent surroundings of the theatre for our awards ceremony. The staff treated us like one of their own, giving us a real university style graduation. The year of hard work on our essay had paid off and we all feel very privileged to have been a part of such an amazing experience.
