Year 9 trip to Ypres
On Friday September 15th, year 9 students travelled to Ypres and the WW1 battle fields to pay their respects to those that have fallen in the Great War. The students were a credit to the school taking in Santuary Wood, Hill 62 trench system, Tyne Cott cemetery, Langamark cemetery and the Menin gate. The James Hornsby School was also represented at the Menin gate ceremony in the evening by laying a wreath as a mark of remembrance and thanks for the great sacrifice endured by those that fell on the field of battle.
